Issue with the Download button

Some recently uploaded videos are not displaying the "Download" button. We are investigating this issue closely and hope to resolve it soon.

Embedding Option Issue

While it may seem like the he embedding option is no longer available. Please note, it is still available. To get the code to embed a video click "Email this video" and you should see the "Embed HTML" link.

System Alert: Deleting Videos Issue (July 10, 1:47PM PST) Some users are reporting that they are unable to delete their videos. We are currently investigating this issue and working on a fix. We apologize for any inconvenience.

UPDATE (June 21, 8:16AM PST): This issue stemmed from some videos being filtered by SafeSearch when they shouldn't have been. The problem has been fixed.

If you're having trouble finding videos, including any you may have uploaded, here are a few things to keep in mind:

* Google Video includes a lot of content, including videos uploaded to the service, as well as videos from YouTube and other websites. Be sure to use descriptive keywords when you're searching for a video. Simply searching with the word [ dance ] might not return your prom video on the first page or two or results; you may need to perform a more specific search like [ dance Central High School 2003 ].

* You can also refine your searches using search operators. To search for just videos hosted on Google Video by searching for [ dance site:video.google.com ]

* If the video you're searching for includes adult-oriented content, you may not be able to find it until you turn off Google's SafeSearch feature. For more information, please visit this page in the Google Video Help Center.

We're aware that some of our users are having trouble finding some videos, even with the above tips in mind, and we're currently investigating.

New Features!

Today we're announcing some new features for Google Video!

* Google Video now includes crawled content from third-party sites. Previously, Google Video included videos uploaded to this service as well as YouTube. Now we're including videos from all over the web, which we've gathered using a process similar to how we generate our Web Search results. We have a lot of new videos now, and more will be added as we continue to crawl the web.

* New UI for playing back videos: now when you click on a video search result, we put the page in a frame similar to how we display Google Images results. We've moved a lot of the features you've been using, like "Related videos" and "Email this page" up to the top. You can even play some videos directly from the search results, just like when you find videos in Google's Web Search results.

* Finally, we've got a newly revamped Help Center to reflect these changes, featuring new information about the new crawled content and an improved layout.

System Alert: Video Advanced Report Issues (June 6, 4:57PM PST)
Some of our users are having issues with their "Advanced Reports" displaying 0 for all "Page Views" and Downloads".
